The vast majority of Canadian publishing houses only publish books by Canadian authors living in Canada. Furthermore, submissions are often difficult, and many publishers refuse to accept submissions by mail. This is a curious situation, as insularity is unacceptable in the intellectual world. Because Britain, America, and France exploit the world, they have imposed strict rules on the bookselling industry, and erected a wall against ideological and philosophical infiltration in dominions like Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
