I have been walking around with a book in my hand for as long as I can remember, this is my only bad habit. Even when I was a military student, I would lie down on my bunk bed that made a scraping sound, and I would browse through the pages until the ward guard gave his report; and when the guard officer checked the beds one by one to see if there were any absent personnel, I would collapse into my duvet cover. Don’t think I’m being a nerd, who cares about the lesson; I mean socioeconomic, sociocultural and literary works. I read with an appetite that is hard to match, but I know that even if I lived a thousand years and devoured books day and night, I would never learn a thousandth of what I was curious about.
