About BIST 👇

In the past, around a hundred companies have delisted from the stock exchange due to bankruptcy and other reasons. The Istanbul Stock Exchange (formerly known as İMKB), now BIST, was established in 1986, and the number of companies has grown exponentially in the last six or seven years, rivaling the French Stock Exchange, which has been operating for centuries. In our case, capital increases through rights issues and private placements have become like periodic maintenance; if both were banned for 50 years, I would admit I'm an idiot if hundreds of companies didn't delist the stock exchange. Is there no regulatory mechanism? The judiciary needs to put a stop to this. Worse still, the vast majority of initial public offerings have ruined investors; very few have provided returns above inflation. The index has been boosted by certain stocks in the last three and a half years, while the overall stock market has collapsed. For example, if a stock was 10 lira, it dropped to 5 lira; during this period, both inflation and devaluation, compounded by interest, exceeded 300%. Can you comprehend the dire losses incurred by stockbrokers?  Hundreds of stocks are nearing or hovering at their historical lows in USD terms, the XU100 index is being boosted by certain stocks, and it's being said that things are running smoothly on the stock exchange. For example, Bizim Toptan, the supermarket chain owned by the man called Türkiye's richest man, lost a staggering 96% of its value in USD terms after its IPO in 2011. The stock market's sub-market and the "close monitoring market" are filled with dozens of companies. The market was said to be abnormal; in 2020, the daily maximum rise and fall limits were reduced to ten percent, and for six and a half years, the normal twenty percent limit hasn't been restored, while hundreds of companies went public during the same period. The market is called risky, and short selling is constantly banned or restricted. In short, there's a mechanism that contradicts its own claims, and the BIST (Istanbul Stock Exchange) is being further diluted by IPOs, darkening the country's future. I have fulfilled my duty as an enlightened observer; I have drawn attention to this issue for years, and my conscience is clear. For years, I protected the vast lands of my homeland, and I don't even have soil to put in a flowerpot!
