Who can control the stock market?

There's a perception that large-scale speculation in the stock market is carried out by investment funds, but I believe the real big players are tycoons and governments. For example, the market value of the publicly traded shares on the Turkish stock exchange reached $202.347 billion; investment funds are like a drop in the ocean compared to that amount.
