Freedom of expression

 In Türkiye, if you express an opinion contrary to the general doctrine or narrative on any subject, you are immediately condemned, subjected to insults and abuse. I don't know the situation in other countries, but I know that in societies that declare themselves civilized and champions of democracy, inquisitorial courts burned alive or excommunicated those who advocated theses contrary to the beliefs of the Catholic Church.
