Wastefulness in the public sector is wreaking havoc on the Turkish economy

Valuable public institutions were privatized, leaving very few state-owned companies. There are quite a few state-owned firms in the finance and television sectors; I think having a state-owned bank, factoring company, and television station might be normal, but any excess leads to the squandering of public tax money. For example, TRT, which broadcasts television, has countless channels; these were deemed insufficient, and paid services like Tivibu, Cable TV, and Tabii were established.
