The liquidation of the funds reminded me of the bank embezzlements of 2000. The embezzlers were briefly imprisoned, then released, continued their commercial activities, and were considered respectable businessmen.
If we don't want stock market manipulation, the use of artificial intelligence in the stock market should be banned, otherwise it will continue. Moreover, we are observing the same anomalies in what is publicly called index engineering; the stock market as a whole collapses, while certain stocks soar. Aren't there dubious transactions by funds or institutions behind those operations? Doesn't anyone profit from those movements? For example, aren't huge profits made through leveraged transactions in the futures and warrants markets? Have individual investors become rich from those stocks?
Important issues are being swept under the rug, uninformed people are pontificating, and I believe the real problem is not being addressed.
